I caught this bad boy while dredge nymphing the “Hooch” tailwater April 4,2009. Ironically & initially unbeknownst to me, a 6 inch wild brown took my lightning bug & this big brown engulfed him! The way he first fought, headshaking & bulldogging deep with no extended runs, I thought he was a big old carp. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised when he turned out to be big dog german brown!

This is my son and his first big brown trout! We fished hard two days, and on the last evening he hooked up with this big brown trout. This fish hit at dusk and took 20 minutes to land on a four weight fly rod.
